“Fired Heaters – Key to Efficient Operation of Refineries and Petrochemicals”
Fired Heater is a very unique equipment. It is used for high temperature heat transfer. Every refinery has 30-60 fired heaters. Every ethylene plant has several cracking heaters as the heart of the plant. Every ammonia, methanol and hydrogen plant has steam methane reformer as the largest equipment in the plant. Even though all these fired heaters have some major differences, there a number of design parameters and principles remain the same. In this presentation we will talk about key operating parameters applicable to fired heaters in the refineries and chemical plants.
