“Natural Gas Liquids in the North American Oil & Gas Business after the Crude Collapse”

Natural Gas Liquids are a small but valuable part of the production of oil & gas wells. The value of these products can have a serious impact on the economics of wells in oil & gas production plays. The role of these products in the market and the expected impact on future exploration and production will be discussed.

Speaker:

Jason Brunsell
Director of Commercial Development– Natural Gas Liquids, EnLink Midstream

Jason Brunsell is Director, Commercial Development– Natural Gas Liquids. His primary responsibilities include developing new projects to grow the NGL business with new fractionation and pipeline assets and the commercial optimization of existing assets.

Mr. Brunsell joined EnLink Midstream’s predecessor, Crosstex Energy, in 2012 and has over 5 years of experience in the natural gas and natural gas liquids industry after 8 years in the chemical industry. During his career, he has held both engineering and commercial positions focused on the utilization of existing assets and development of new assets. Previously, Mr. Brunsell worked for Enterprise Products as Sr. Process Engineer where he worked to optimize legacy assets for the newly developing Eagle Ford shale play.  Prior to entering the energy industry, Mr. Brunsell held a number of engineering positions with Celanese, Honeywell, and Dow Chemical.

Mr. Brunsell holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

The Ley Student Center, located in the central part of Rice campus, is building number 45 on the campus map. The Central Campus Garage, which is the closest parking facility, is located at building number 53, to the left of the Ley Student Center across the street.

Rice University is a popular meeting location. In the remote possibly the underground parking is full, the second closest parking is the West Lot. Continue down the Laboratory Loop Road to the stop sign. Cross the street and the gate will be on the left. Be sure to bring an umbrella if the weather seems inclement.

The campus also offers a bus shuttle that runs about every 15 minutes as it loops the campus. Look for the bus stop signs to use or enjoy a short brisk walk!

Registration:

$25 per person for online registration and $35 per person for on-site registration – a boxed lunch will be served. At the time of registration, you will asked to indicate your meal choice of SANDWICH or SALAD or VEGETARIAN meal. We are unable to honor requests beyond these 3 options. Sammy’s is next door if you desire or need an alternative meal. PLEASE HONOR YOUR MEAL SELECTION WHICH WILL BE NOTED ON YOUR NAMETAG. $ 0 for Rice Students and $15 for Rice Faculty – registration required in advance. Online registration will close at Noon on Thursday, March 12. On-site registration is available on the day of the event for $35 per person.

This Roundtable qualifies for one (1) Professional Development Hour (PDH). Your email confirmation at completion of registration serves as your PDH and payment receipts. Paper receipts may be picked up at the registration desk at time of check-in.
