Topic:

“Subsea Production Systems–An Enabling Component of Offshore Production”

The industry has been installing subsea wells for over 50 years and there have been on the order of 5,000 subsea wells drilled and completed to date with hundreds more being added each year.  This presentation will provide an update on the subsea market and identify the expected growth in the future.  It will also include a summary of the type of subsea processing systems which are being used today and projections for the future.

Speaker:

Bruce Crager
Executive Vice President – Expert Advisory Group, Endeavor Management

Bruce Crager is Executive Vice President, Expert Advisory Group for Endeavor Management located in Houston, Texas. He leads the firm’s group with a focus on Offshore, Subsea and Marine activities. He has 40 years’ experience in offshore drilling and production, primarily in management positions. This includes evaluating and providing field development solutions, particularly those based on floating production systems and subsea production equipment. Bruce joined Endeavor in 2010 and is responsible for the development of an experienced team to support clients in the areas of strategy development, organizational change/development, decision analysis, and in technical areas such as field development planning and operational improvement. Since joining Endeavor, Bruce has consulted for many clients, including Addax Petroleum, Afren, Audubon Engineering, Barra Energia, Cal Dive, Cameron, ENI, Maersk Oil and Gas, Petrobras, Pemex, Ridgewood Energy, Shell and VAALCO Energy.

Bruce holds a BS in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University and was selected as a Distinguished Graduate of TAMU’s Zachary Department of Civil Engineering in 2008. He also holds a MBA from the University of Houston, has co-authored 4 patents, and has written numerous technical and management articles. Bruce is a featured speaker who guides audiences to a greater understanding of the industry’s history and evolving needs with a view to creating new configurations for future deepwater field development.

The Ley Student Center, located in the central part of Rice campus, is building number 45 on the campus map. The Central Campus Garage, which is the closest parking facility, is located at building number 53, to the left of the Ley Student Center across the street.

Rice University is a popular meeting location. In the remote possibly the underground parking is full, the second closest parking is the West Lot. Continue down the Laboratory Loop Road to the stop sign. Cross the street and the gate will be on the left. Be sure to bring an umbrella if the weather seems inclement.

The campus also offers a bus shuttle that runs about every 15 minutes as it loops the campus. Look for the bus stop signs to use or enjoy a short brisk walk!

Registration:

$25 per person for online registration and $35 per person for on-site registration – a boxed lunch will be served. At the time of registration, you will asked to indicate your meal choice of SANDWICH or SALAD or VEGETARIAN meal. We are unable to honor requests beyond these 3 options. Sammy’s is next door if you desire or need an alternative meal. PLEASE HONOR YOUR MEAL SELECTION WHICH WILL BE NOTED ON YOUR NAMETAG. $ 0 for Rice Students and $15 for Rice Faculty – registration required in advance. Online registration will close at Noon on Thursday, December 11. On-site registration is available on the day of the event for $35 per person.

In order to protect the privacy of the luncheon attendees, the list of attendees is not published or distributed.

This Roundtable qualifies for one (1) Professional Development Hour (PDH). Your email confirmation at completion of registration serves as your PDH and payment receipts. Paper receipts may be picked up at the registration desk at time of check-in.
