“North American storage and transportation trends, how could the crude oil market change over the rest of the year”

Taking an integrated view on crude oil supply, demand and imports with Genscape’s proprietary pipelines and refineries data, Brian will provide a thorough discussion of how the crude oil market could change over 2016, with consideration of the major risk and uncertainties to this outlook.  Brian will address the rate of US capacity expansion, US storage, and other current changes related to the physical fundamentals of the crude oil market.

Brian Busch
Director, Oil Markets and Business Development, Genscape, Inc.

Brian Busch is the Director, Oil Markets and Business Development for Genscape, Inc., a global provider of fundamental energy data and analytics.  Brian is responsible for identifying physical fundamental data needed to help provide transparency and efficiency to the Crude Oil and Refined Products markets.  He is also responsible for communicating with Genscape’s Clients the relevant impact of fundamental data on the markets.  Brian has over 25 years’ experience in the oil industry.  Prior to joining Genscape, Brian served as Vice-president for Business Development for Amphora, Inc.; and as Director of Oil Products he lead the development of risk management and trading capabilities for SolArc, Inc., both in the energy trading and risk management software space.  He has over 15 years’ experience on the trading floor in roles ranging from a risk manager to senior trader.  He has become a frequent contributor to both print and television news outlets about the oil markets.  Brian has a Bachelor Business Administration from the Eastern Kentucky University, and a Master of Business Administration from Marshall University.

The Ley Student Center, located in the central part of Rice campus, is building number 45 on the campus map. The Central Campus Garage, which is the closest parking facility, is located at building number 53, to the left of the Ley Student Center across the street.

Rice University is a popular meeting location. In the remote possibly the underground parking is full, the second closest parking is the West Lot. Continue down the Laboratory Loop Road to the stop sign. Cross the street and the gate will be on the left. Be sure to bring an umbrella if the weather seems inclement.

The campus also offers a bus shuttle that runs about every 15 minutes as it loops the campus. Look for the bus stop signs to use or enjoy a short brisk walk!

Registration:

$25 per person for online registration and $35 per person for on-site registration – a boxed lunch will be served. $ 0 for Rice Students and $15 for Rice Faculty – registration required in advance. Online registration will close at Noon on Thursday, August 11, 2016. On-site registration is available on the day of the event for $35 per person.

This Roundtable qualifies for one (1) Professional Development Hour (PDH). Your email confirmation at completion of registration serves as your PDH and payment receipts. Paper receipts may be picked up at the registration desk at time of check-in.
