Martin J. Van Sickels, Executive Director of the Rice Global E&C Forum, is President of MVS Consulting specializing in technology management for the process, E&C and alternate energy industries. Prior to forming MVS Consulting, he worked for Kellogg Brown & Root, Inc. (KBR) where he was a member of the executive committee and served at Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. He has over 45 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry where he served in a wide range of managerial, technical and commercial assignments.

Martin also serves on the Energy Review Committee of the Texas Gulf Coast Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC) for the Texas Energy Fund and as an advisor on the Houston Technology Centerai??i??s Energy Advisors Committee.

He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering from The City College of New York and New York University respectively. He is a registered engineer in Texas and Alabama and a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Chemical Society, the Licensing Executives Society (USA) Inc. and Sigma Xi (The Scientific Research Society).Ai??
